tangoGPS on the Neo1973

Runnning live on the phone, we can turn our Neos
into a cool GPS device

In fullscreen mode

Making best use of the screen.
The slider shows the current zoom level. Each zoom level
is twice the scale from the next one.
Autocenter lets the map follow your movements.

In normal mode

The map can smoothly be dragged around,
zoomed in and out and centered on current gps-position.
You can see speed, heading, trip length,
number of visible and used satellites

Menu Entry

tangoGPS comes with a nice icon and
can be started from the apps menu.

Satellite data and trip meter

tangoGPS features a mileage counter with maximum
and average speed and shows GPS data
with latitude, longitude, heading etc.

Friend Finder

tangoGPS comes now with a friend finder function,
letting you easily figure out the locations of others

Context Menu

Lets you find friends, figure out distance from your current location
or lets you set your position manually, i.e. when you have no gps

Register you Nick

I you want you can register your nick so only you can use it.

Config of repositories and gpsd

You can use any gpsd on the net. If you have a data flat-rate,
you can connect to another Neo's gpsd.
Or you can replay your logfiles from your desktop PC!

tangoGPS on the GNOME desktop

Currently the UI is adapted for the Neo, but I'm working on
an adapted ui-design for desktop / laptop use.
